Otherwise, I buy a physical copy in Switch, where at least I have something physical. In my case, is the only reason that make me buy a digital copy in PC. I like Denuvo because pirates can't acces to the game or make them wait in some cases. Omg, I'm not a troll! I'm talking seriously, I don't care about sales or the Denuvo impact. You should see Gabe Newell (CEO of Valve that made Steam) take on DRM. Games like Witcher 3 & Cyberpunk 2077 never had DRM in the first place and have sold incredibly well on PC. Denuvo games have longer load times, impact on performance, and usually get cracked within days of release, Hogwarts cracked within two weeks, EU says piracy doesn't negatively affect sales but might even boost sales. Once the owner realizes that their credit card has made unauthorized purchases, they charge back, and the developer/publisher loses money on the price of the keys and extra money via a charge-back fee. Key resellers are worse than pirates, they use stolen credit cards to buy a bunch of keys and sell those keys to these gray markets with them making money on their own card. I understand that you don't like the idea of a game that you bought with cash and that there are people out there playing that exact game for free.īut some pirates would have never bought the game in the first place but if they enjoyed the game they might have to talk to someone about the game and that person bought the said game.
